Dear Mr. Hilliker;
China offers hefty rewards for terrorism tips in Xinjiang http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/world-news/china-offers-hefty-rewards-forterrorism-tips-in-xinjiang/articleshow/42116194.cms By Reuters 9 Sep, 2014 This article is about how many places in China have been giving out rewards to people willing to give them information on terrorist groups. Many people, whose names shall remain anonymous, have been receiving money in exchange for information on terrorist groups throughout China. A recent suicide bombing in Xinjiang killed 39 people, so the country is asking the citizens to report on any suspicious behavior or plans that they come across. This terrorist attack may not have been unprovoked, due to the repressive government policies in Xinjiang. The biggest suspect is exiled Muslim Uighur (ethnic minority) groups. I learned that China has some serious issues going on, but they will not affect me. I am not planning to visit any time soon. I think this article is very interesting, but I am wondering if people would give false information just to get the reward. It is a lot of money, but lying to the government is not worth it. I hope you enjoy the article. Sincerely,
