First Lady Michelle Obama recently launched the 2015 FAFSA Completion Challenge as part of her Reach
Higher initiative. Mrs. Obama is calling on every high school senior in America to complete the FAFSA and
for students, principals, teachers, school counselors, and college advisers to urge students to fill out their
FAFSA forms. To compete in the challenge, a school must submit a three to five minute video highlighting
its FAFSA completion efforts. Finalist high schools could have the opportunity to hear from the First Lady at
their commencement ceremonies in the spring of 2015.
Are You In?
Submissions for the FAFSA Completion Challenge will be accepted untilMarch 16, 2015. Your school
principal must complete the entry form and submit a link to your video. Video submissions must be uploaded
to YouTube or Vimeo. Please also have your Program Director preview the video before submitting it.
Winning videos will be chosen based on creativity and the schools FAFSA completion growth as reported by
the U.S. Department of Educations Office of Federal Student Aid. To check out your schools completion
