Use the setup utility to configure the following: Set the voice DHCP to a scope of 10.x5.0.0, subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, a default gateway of 10.x5.0.1, and a TFTP server of 10.x5.0.1. Exclude the first 10 addresses within this subnet (where x is your pod number). = Set the source address to 10.x5.0.1 with a port of 2000 (where x is your pod number) = Configure two dual-line phones. Do not save the changes; reload the router. Activity Procedure Complete these steps: Step1 From global configuration mode, enter the command telephony-service setup. Step 2 When prompted with the choice to set up the DHCP service, choose Yes, Step 3 The IP network of the DHCP pool will be 10.x5.0.0 (where « is your pod number) Step4 The IP subnet will be 25.255.255.0 for all pods. Step 5 The TFTP server will be the Cisco Unified CallManager Express router with an IP address of 10.¥5.0.1 (where x is your pod number) Step 6 The default router for the pool will also be 10.x5.0.1 (where x is your pod number). Stop7 Answer service?” ‘es to the question, “Would you like to start setting up the telephony Step For the source IP address, enter 10.x8.0.1 (where x is your pod number) Step 8 Accept the default port of 2000 by pressing the Enter key. Step 10 When asked how many IP phones to configure, answer 10. Step 11 When asked whether dual lines are desired, answer Yes. Step 12. Step 14 Choose the first extension number of x000 (where x is your pod number), step 15 When asked if DIDs are used, answer Yes. Stop 16 When asked for the full E.164 number, enter the value of 20x5859000 (where x is your pod number). Step 17 When asked if forwarding to voice mail is desired, enter Yes. Step 18 Enter the extension number x999 for voice mail (where x is your pod number). Enter Yes if any mistakes have been made and you wish to start this task over again. Step 20. Watch the console output to see whether the phones register. Notice that the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7960 has registered and has a dial tone when it goes off hook. Stop 22 From privileged EXEC mode, use the show running-config command and view the changes made in the configuration, noticing the telephony-service section in particular. Stop 23 Reload the router, and do not save the configuration, so that a manual configuration can be completed in the next task. Activity Verification ‘You have completed this task when you attain these results: Verify that a call can be placed between the two IP phones within the pod. = Verify that the configuration reflects the changes. Task 2: Configuring the Cisco Unified CallManager Express Router Using the QCT In this task, you will use the Cisco IP Communications Express Quick Configuration Too! 10 configure the Cisco Unified CallManager Express router with a starting configuration. ity Procedure Complete these steps: Step1 Ensure that a console cable is connected from the student laptop to the console port of the router, ‘Step 2 From the desktop on the student laptop, open the QCT folder and open the file named “QCT.himl” ina web browser. Under the General Router Info section, set a company name of Padx, a host name of CMERouterx, a router login of cisco, a router password of eiseo, and the appropriate time zone for the site where the class is located (where x is your pod number), (On the Internal Network page, leave all settings at their default On the Intemet Access Connection Setting page, set the Internet Access section to No. On the SIP Trunk Service page, leave all settings at their defaults, On the Phone System and Voicemail page, leave all settings at their defaults. ‘On the Phone System Features page, leave all settings at their defaults On the Phones and Users page for phone number 1, enter the MAC address of your first IP phone (from the sticker on the bottom of the phone). Then enter an extension number of x000 (where « is your pod number) On the Phones and Users page for phione number 2, enter the MAC address of your second IP phone (from the sticker on the bottom of the phone). Task 1: Setting Up the Initial Configuration In this task, you will construct an initial network configuration on the Cisco Unified CallManager Express router. Activity Challenge Tasks In this lab, ACME Company has decided to deploy Cisco Unified CallManager Express in the enterprise. First, you must configure the Cisco Unified CallManager Express router and verily connectivity. You should configure the router with the following (go to the Activity Procedure if you are unable to configure any of these goals): = Aname of CMERouterx (where x is your pod number) m= Anenable password of “Cisco” = The ability to telnet to the system with a password of “Cisco” = Console messagi that cause any entered characters to be redisplayed on the terminal m= Name resolution disabled (because no DNS is available in classroom) = A DHCP scope that will issue the IP addresses, subnet mask, and default gateway for your assigned data subnet = The lowest Ethernet interface configured with an 802.1Q trunk and IP addresses for your assigned voice and data subnets GRP configured with an autonomous system of 100 and able to route for all 10.0.0.0 networks = Connectivity, by pinging other pods Complete these steps: Step1 The instructor assigns the pod number for the class. Step2 Connect to the console of your Cisco Unified CallManager Express router. Step3 Enter the command enable to enter privileged EXEC mode. Step4 Enter global configuration mode by entering the command configure terminal, Step5 From the router(config)# prompt, enter the host name of your router using the command hostname CMERouterx, where x is your pod number.
