Honors Earth and Env. Science Post Reflection

1. Describe yourself as a student in Mr. Dillmans class. Are you happy with your performance?
Not really. I could have done better.
2. Describe the strategies you used this semester to meet your academic goals in the class.
I think the virtual notebooks and webquests helped me understand the topics better. So did the discussion of the
worksheets while going over them.
3. Describe 3 aspects of the class that you liked
- How it was online-based
- Its pretty fun and energetic
- There werent any misbehaved students, so we went through the work faster and everyone was focused.
- The lectures were explained well so I understood it the first time.
4. Describe 3 aspect of the class that you did NOT like
- Some of the webquests were long
- Sometimes it was fast-paced, and I couldnt get a word in to ask a question.

5. Were there any aspects of the class caused you to struggle academically? If so, Which ones?
Not really; the only reason I struggled academically was because of a lack of motivation.
6. Did you like the aspect of completing an online virtual notebook instead of a physical notebook? If so, why?
If not, why?
Very much so because it was faster and more efficient to work on a computer than to have to write everything
down. Plus, we could do more like look things up and do fun stuff, like the debates and games.
7. What improvements do you think could be made to the online virtual notebook that would make that aspect
of the class better?
Make the pages more diverse, rather than having a page full of webquests. The Universe Formation page is a
good example of a diverse page.

8. If you could give advice to future Honors Earth and Env. Science students taking Mr. Dillmans class what 3
pieces of advice would you give?
Make sure the notebook is filled out and complete, because its worth a large part of the grade. Plus its a good
way of studying for the exam later.

9. If you could go back and do things differently in Mr. Dillmans Honors Earth and Env. Science class what
would you do differently?
Do more of the work, and make sure I understand everything before moving on.

10. Any other advice for Mr. Dillman in teaching this class in future semesters?
Nope.
