To our indefatigable principal, Mrs. Ma. Esperanza S.

Malang, to the members

of the faculty, guests, beloved seniors, and fellow juniors, a pleasant and a Godgiven night to all of you.
Being a student of Angeles City Science High School, an institution known for
its academic excellence and an effective honing ground for gifted and skilled
students, is a prodigious gift on the first place. Having rewards, acquiring
achievements and the acquisition of medals and piles of certificates are just
bonuses, for setting foot upon its grounds already means stepping upon the
pedestal of honor and the wall of fame. During my three-year sojourn within its
premises, I learned five important lessons of life. The passion for the
continuous pursuit of knowledge, preserving the Filipino culture and its moral
heritage, loving friends, family, and people around you, honoring the name of
Almighty God, and the move against the destruction of legacy, honor, and glory
that the previous generations whole-heartedly handed down to us. Passing
down the responsibilities and obligations of those who are on the front line is a
pretty big gamble for there is no assurance of the potential outcome and
probable fruits the next people in line may bring. Yet, as we are heading toward
our senior life, my dear batchmates, we should not be bounded by fear nor
extreme pride as we turn another page of our lives as the fourth year students of
ACSci. Rooting from the bequest of our mother school, the Special Science
Class, down to the honor brought by the first and second batches of the Angeles
City Science High School, it is a great challenge bounded in front of us on how
to prove ourselves, not only to those who know us but more for those who
expect a lot from us. May it be a parent, a teacher, or even an outsider, we
should prove that we are equally capable and harnessed for the same visions
and missions. With this, I, Meryll Ysabel M. Manaois, a junior for the academic
year 2010-2011, fully accept the challenge posted before us. As long as we can,
we shall strive for the same crusade that we had been campaigning for years.
Thank you and to God be all the glory!
