Handkerchief between monofilament screen support. Handkerchief was sewn


loosely around the outer edge to fully secure handkerchief for full support.

Vacuuming on low power (both sides) to remove any dust and surface dirt.

First soak in distilled water (110F). No detergent added.

Soak with Orvus detergent solution. Detergent is being worked through the
handkerchief slowly.

Final rinse in distilled water (110F). Detergent has been completely been rinsed of
after three rinses.

Handkerchief has been removed carefully from the monofilament screen and has
been laid flat to dry overnight.

Handkerchief after it is completely dry. Not a huge improvement, but yellowing has
lessened a little, the more dominant stains have lightened, and the creasing has
been decreased.
