Joint Statement:

This assignment requires our group to incorporate ICT in producing a


teaching and learning resource for practical application within a
classroom, linking directly to the Western Australian Curriculum. It will
consist of four lessons, which will include the use of three different types
of technologies, which promote student engagement and creativity in
their learning. Technology has become a central part of everyday living
and therefore its effective incorporation into education is crucial.
Planning:
In the planning component of this assignment the group will:
Create a Spider Scribe mind map to visually represent the group
project plan, and outline who will focus on what part of the project
and completion date
Discuss ideas that link technology in with the Western Australian
curriculum
Develop ideas for four sequential lessons, which will be displayed in
a forward planning document
Write a statement outlining how ICT will be incorporated to enhance
student learning and experiences in these lessons
Write a statement outlining how constructivist learning theory
underpins our four lessons
Prototyping:
In the prototyping component of this assignment the group will:
Brainstorm ideas for a lesson catered to a specific year level and
learning area, incorporating the use of ICT
Create a lesson plan for the lesson to be presented in class
Ensure an engaging and effective lesson is being developed through
self assessment and reflection
Pre-test ICT equipment prior to presentation
Design an engaging method of collecting feedback from peers and
facilitating discussion
Publishing:
In the publishing component of this assignment the group will create a
website that includes:
An introduction page to engage the learner in the lesson by
incorporating their interests and goals
Task page that details each of the four lessons
Process page that breaks each activity into smaller components so it
is easier for learners to understand what they will learn and how
they will learn it
Resource page that provide links for resources and activities
Evaluation page that shows students how they will be assessed and
what they need to demonstrate via an assessment rubric

Conclusion and reflection page where learners can reflect on what


they learned and how they learned it, what they enjoyed/did not
enjoy, how ICT supported the learning process
Submission of ICT Integration Project through Blackboard
