Review for The Hunger Games

1. Know all of the main characters in the novel. Know their names and know how to how to
spell them correctly. Be able to describe each character and offer specific examples to support
your observations.
2. Be able to describe how characters change throughout the course of the novel. Use
specific examples to prove these changes.
3. Be able to identify the complicating incident of the novel as well as the climax. Be able
to offer reasons for your choices. Know the events of the novel.
4. Review the types of conflict. Be able to identify a conflict in the novel, label it, and explain
why that fits the label.
5. Review the definition of suspense. Provide an example from the novel that creates
suspense. Explain why this scene is suspenseful.
6. Know the main settings of the novel. Be able to describe one and state what kind of
atmosphere is created in that setting.
7. Know the narrator of the story. Is that narrator trustworthy? Give specific reasons and
examples for your choice.
