Since in pure resistive circuits power factor is unity (Or) 1

Power VI

Now

Watts

Power factor
Power factor is the factor which reduces and increases the ac power,
this depends on the nature load (inductive or capacitive or resistive)
Power factor is defined as the COSine of angle between voltage and
current.
Or COS of phase difference angle of voltage and current.

cos =Power factor

=Phase difference between voltage and current.
