In Re: Ponciano B.

Jacinto
DOCTRINE: Every lawyer is expected to maintain the proper decorum

in his dealing with the courts of justices and never justified in using
threatening language for his clients cause.
FACTS:
1. Jacinto has repeatedly insulted and threatened the Court because of
the case of Plamarios dismissal from office after not reporting and
being absent for one year in SSS.
2. He threatened the SC after his motions were denied. He also said
that he will destroy the reputation of the high tribunal by exposing
such damaging words in media.

Issue: WON he should be reprimanded

HELD: He should be reprimanded for disrespecting the court and
contemptuous statements. Even though judicial criticism is not forbidden, it
must be within the limits of propriety and must be done with respect to the
judges.
