Physical education is an important part of every human being.

Not only provides skills but

also ... I believe that making physical education and sport compulsory for five hours per
week offers more benefits, not only physically but also mentally.
First of all, sport and PE give students the opportunity to develop important skills outside the
classroom. They learn how to work and interact with others, which can be applicable to life,
present or future. For example, communication skills are essential in many aspects of life
because it may be the determining factor in a job interview or just in casual conversation with
a friend. Also, they learn how to work and communicate in a team.
Moreover, physical education teaches healthy habits as the number of outweight and obese
young people is growing. Many of these students would prefer to be sitting passively in front
of the television rather than to do something physically active. Also it helps reduce the risk of
developing obesity and chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
(insufficient physical activity would result in conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and
obesity.) For example, if students take apart at P.E. they not only will feel healthier, but they
will look healthier as a result of proper diet and exercise.
On the other hand, most of the students in secondary should be allowed to choose. Many of
them say that they are overwhelmed because of homework, but if you think they could just
take a break not thinking of their homework. They could have fun, could be healthier not only
physically but also mentally.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that physical education and sport should be introduced in
students classrooms as they will learn more things.
