Subject: Letter of Recommendation for Lindsay Britcher
Dear Ms. Jamie Bozarth:
It is with great pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Lindsay Britcher, a BSW student in
the School of Social Work at Wayne State University. Lindsay has expressed her interest in the internship
at Spaulding for Children during fall of 2014. She requested a letter of recommendation to accompany her
application for the position and I agreed to do so without any reservations. I am an Assistant Professor in
the School of Social Work at Wayne State University. As her former instructor, I can attest to her
strengths and qualifications.
Lindsay was in my Social Work 3510: Human Behavior and the Social Environment class during fall
semester of 2014. In my class, she more than demonstrated excellence in her assignments. All of her
assignments were completed with highly impressive results. She has demonstrated a solid understanding
of all her assignments. She also did very well on her group presentations and Final exam, which is a clear
evidence of her solid understanding of the topics covered in my class. Although students have regarded
me as a tough grader, Lindsay managed to receive an A in my class. I would evaluate her oral and
written abilities as excellent.
I am well aware that Spaulding for Children maintains extremely high standards in recruiting highly
qualified BSW students for the internship. I am very confident that Lindsay will be a tremendous asset to
your agency and beyond. I strongly urge you to accept her application.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to request more information about Lindsay. I can be
reached by phone at 310-990-4658 or by e-mail at fl4684@wayne.edu. Thank you very much for your
consideration.
Sincerely,

Jun Sung Hong, Ph.D.
