Summary: This paper discusses the possile integrative methodologica\ approaches in the
interpretation of Andersen's fairy tales. The approaches act simultaneously when gathered
around the l1igher structe order marks, or around the textual elements ofpredominant value.
The dominant value elements thus become associative fields and integrative central points for
many other symbol values, ena\ing at the same time insight into various aesthetic facts which
always and simultaneous\y stimu\ate artistic experience, freer ftow of research attention and
cognitive associations ding the interpretation of Andersen 's literature work.
!n the function of cognitive and associative union there are e\ements from different groups:
artistic expcrience, textua\ units- poetic statements, important structural elements, narrative
forms, and \anguage and style procedures, literary pro\ems. Textual units are viewed in
functional hanony with other,joined, subordinate and ordinate artistic elements or throughout
them, but al"''ays in complementary direction that ena\es the insight into the increase and
empowering ofthe aesthetic suggestion.
