Reflection: Research
Research informs my position on issues by providing me valid information to rely on. Comparing
and contrasting different perspectives makes me sound smarter when defending my issues.
Showing that you understand the other point of view, shows that youre capable of being wrong but
firm on your entitled opinion. You can effectively defend your positions on issues by having solid
facts to rely on, disagreeing by agreeing with the opposite position, and doing research. The
revision process entails the thinking process. Rewriting essays makes you think a little deeper and
work harder and thats why it benefits your learning.
The proposal helped me figure out a little bit of what my research paper was going to be about. It
was the beginning that got me started. The annotated bibliography as nice because you summed
up all of the authors main ideas in each of their works. It made it easier to write the paper and find
facts. The synthesis chart by far was the best tool to writing this position essay because most of the
essay has to be sourced. The synthesis chart already had all the sources sourced, so it made it ten
times easier to write the essay.
