DESIGN CRITERIA

1. Characteristic Strength

All reinforcement bars used shall be :

Mild steel 250 N/mm2
High Yield steel 460 N/mm2
Mesh Reinforcement ( BRC) 485 N/mm2

All reinforcement bars conform to B.S 4449

All mesh reinforcement shall conform to B.S. 4483

Structural Concrete 35A N/mm2

All reinforcement concrete design shall conform to B.S. 8110: Part 1 & 2 :
1997, and

B.S 8007 : Design of concrete structure for retaining aqueous liquid.

Consideration use shall be:
Concrete cover 40mm
The concrete grade 35A N/mm2
Design crack slab (restrain crack)

2. Design Loading Assumption:

a) Assume Dead Load On Floor/Slab/ Foundation = 10 kN/m2 (max)
b) Live Load for access and maintainance = 1.5 kN/m2
