Eleven-year-old Akeelah Anderson is a bright but unmotivated girl. She can spell better
than anyone in her school in South Central Los Angeles, and she might have a chance at the
nationals.
Akeelah wins her schools bee and decides to set her sights on the national competition.
In order to get there, she needs to win several regional spelling bees. In order to do that, she
needs help. She finds that help in the form of a coach (played by Laurence Fishburne). Many
hours are spent training for the bee as one would practice for any great competition.
Akeelah has a friend in the champion named Javier. He comes from the school Woodland
Hills. Although both be competitors, they still good friends and support each other. When
competition got national level, Akeelah kept going until the remaining two participants, they are
Akeelah and Dylan. Dylan is a student who came from Woodland Hills, after a 13 word spelling
champions finished, the eventual champion won the national spelling bee by Akeelah and Dylan.
Moral Value

Optimism
Optimism is an expectation to get the goodness. Optimism is new spirit to do something while
we sometimes face in bad condition. No a reason to do pessimism because good gave us many
happiness to be enjoyed. Without do optimism we get difficulties in all of challenges we have to
understand that all of ourselves have many advantages to be developed.
Kind and friendly
In life one must be kind and friendly nature. We arent alone in this world.
