I have known Natalic on a professional level during her Level 2 field experience during the Fall 2012 session, As a part of this course, Natalie was placed at Orchard Hill School in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to complete a six-week field experience in a sixth grade classroom with a mentor teacher. In addition to teaching two classroom lessons in this experience, Natalie worked both individually and with small groups of students. Natalie did an excellent job of preparing both of her lessons. She worked well with the students and was respectful and patient. She chose lessons that were developmentally appropriate and fit within the curriculum, Her lessons were taught with professionalism and excellence, Natalie performed many tasks which reflected her talent and professionalism as a future educator. These tasks included: curriculum planning, small and large group instruction and organizational tasks implemented in an elementary classroom. She was conscientious, dedicated, empathetic and caring. Natalic took the initiative to be involved in all aspects of the classroom. She was an effective team member possessing strong communication skills. Itis without hesitation that I would recommend Natalie Miller for an out of state placement for her student teaching experience.
