Career Objective
To promote and implement standards in health promotion programs, disease
prevention, and healthcare assessment by use of the tools and principles of public
health.
Record of Success

Assisted as a volunteer at schools hospital in the burn unit, emergency unit,


physical therapy unit, post-ambulatory care unit and the pediatrics unit.
o Able to multi-task and be innovative in designing and carrying out
projects for each unit.
o Supervisors of post-ambulatory care unit and burn unit praised my
abilities of positively influencing patients.
o Nurses at the pediatrics unit praised my great organizational skill and
keen perception for details with paperwork.
Traveled to Nashville, TN and Mayville, MI to work with children and
adolescents with disabilities and learning impairments on how to engage in
healthier eating habits.
Mentored children with incarcerated parents as counselor at summer camp
on different physical activities and healthier eating habits.

Effective Leadership
Coordinated and executed mentoring service for freshman students on academic
probation at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond VA, 2008-2010.

Instructed an introductory class of all schools available resources.


Developed guidelines and goals for each student based on their individual
needs.
Majority of students were able to improve grade point average after program
to be taken off of academic probation; others also showed slight
improvement in grade point average.
