Whywechosethistopic:
WechosethetopicofAlfredNobelbecauseheisafamousengineer,chemist,and
scientistthatdevelopeddynamite.Wehadbasicbackgroundknowledgeabouthim,likethefacts
thatheinventeddynamiteandcreatedtheNobelPrize,butwewantedtolearnwhetherornot
therewasaconnectionbetweenthetwo.Wewantedtolearnaboutthegoodandbadaspectsthat
cameintothesetwothings.Wethoughthefitintothethemeofleadershipandlegacybecausehe
isaninventor.Inventorsleadthemselvesandpushthemselvesuntiltheymaketheirinvention.
AlfredNobelmusthavehassomeimpactonsociety,sowedecidedtolookfurtherintohis
legacyandwhatpeopleknowhimbestfor,whichistheNoblePrize.

Howweconductedourresearch:
WeusedtheinternetresourcesreferencedbyWestCareerandTechnicalAcademys
mediacenter.Mr.Mitchell,WestCTAslibrarian,wasveryhelpfulinhelpingusgather
informationforourthesisstatementandprovidinguswithbackgroundinformationonAlfred
Nobel.Theresearchwassplitintofindingphotographs,primaryandsecondarysources,and
books.Ourbestsourceswereperhapsthenewspaperarticle.Thenewspaperarticlesfromthe
timegaveusaninsightonhowsocietywasandhowdynamiteaffectedthemspecifically.

Howwecreatedanddevelopedourwebsite:
Thewebsitewaschosenbecausewethoughtitwouldworkeasierforusbeingagroup
becausewecanworkonittogetherwithoutbeingtogetherThewebsitewascreatedonweebly.It
wasfairlysimpletosetup.ThetabswemadeconsistofthebackgroundinformationofAlfred
Nobel,hisleadershipandlegacy,andhisinventionsofdynamiteandtheNobelPrize.Under
eachtabweincludedtheproperinformationwithpicturestoaddvisuals.

Howourprojectrelatestothetheme:
AlfredNobelrelatestothethemebecauseheshowsleadershipbyrecognizingthevalue
andpotentialinthings.Hesawthevalueinanexplosivethatwasverydangerousandnotyet
fullycontrolled,andhesawthattherewasapotentialinmakingitbetter.Heworkedonitand
cameupwithhisinventionofdynamite.Afterhesawthevalueandpotentialindynamite,he
startedanetworkoffactoriesthatwouldmakeprofitandhelpsociety.Sinceheknewthevalue
inthings,healsoknewhowtoprotecthisideas.Hehadpatentsbecausehesawthevalueofhis
workandresearch.AlfredNobelalsoleftalegacybycreatingtheNobelPrize.TheNobelPrize
servesthecommunityandmakeshisimageandhisbusinesshaveamorepositiveone.
