Govt allots 2B for papal visit

PNoy executes Metro Manilas renovation


In line with the apostolic visit of Pope Francis, the Republic of the Philippines
earmarks two billion pesos in the preparations of facilities and equipments to be
used.
Executive secretary and chairman of the organizing committee Pacquito
Ochoa said in a press conference that the president directed the resources to be
used in repairing the roads and conducting of the service plan regarding the popes
escort.

state nya (Pope Francis), Ochoa said. Kailangan talagang siguraduhin ang
kaayusan at kaligtasan nya sa pagpunta nya dito.
Meanwhile, the MMDA, with orders from the president, also designates 50
million pesos for the repair of the infrastructures and roads including the barricades
in certain papal events, they also made a continuous effort in securing the popes
trail and reducing traffic in parts of Metro Manila.
MMDA chief Francis Tolentino said that months before the visit, they already
fixed several road damage and organize the resources not only for the Holy Fathers
safety but also for the pilgrims.

pangangailangan at seguridad ng Santo Papa at ng mga deboto, Tolentino said in
the same press conference.
15 000 MMDA officers, according to Tolentino, who attended a recent training
arranged by the organization were sent to secure the roads in the Popes motorcade
protocol.
