Whats Happening in December?

December is a very busy, and very fun time in Kindergarten. We will be
learning the stories of Christmas and the Gingerbread Man (our two
main themes this month).

The big day this month will be December 19. On this day we will be
making Gingerbread people in the morning and then having our party
in the afternoon.
I have a list of parents (I will email you a reminder) who have already
signed up to join us that day. However, you are all welcome so please
feel free to stop by (siblings welcome too).
I am also attaching a schedule for a project I do every Christmas;
Advent bags. Each night in December, one family will take a turn
taking home the Advent bag. It has all of the materials you will need
to have an Advent Celebration at home. All of the directions are in the
bag. When you receive the bag, it will have a Christmas treat to share
with your family. When you return the bag, simply place another treat
in the bag for the next family to enjoy. If you do not wish to
participate in this activity, no worries. But please let me know so I
dont send the bag with your child.
Finally, I want to offer a huge thank you to all of the parents who
brought baking for our fundraiser bake sale. And of course, thank you
so much to the parents who helped run the tables, set up and take
down. Thank you also to everyone for the amazing support with our
fundraisers. I am hoping we have enough funds to purchase a light
table for the classroom.
I also want to thank our Parent Council who have recently donated
the funds to purchase a Waldorf play structure. Its an amazing
wooden structure that will house our drama center. It should be here
in time for Christmas so youll have to pop in and check it out!
