    AtrialcourthadconvictedKhanin2007forkillingtheendangeredblackbuck.Theactorhadapproachedthe
    RajasthanHighCourtforastayontheorder,pleadingthatheneededtotravelabroadforafilmshoot.The
    highcourthadgrantedthestay.
    Khan,alongwithactorsSaifAliKhan,SonaliBendre,TabuandNeelam,hadbeenaccusedofpoachingnear
    Jodhpurin1998duringtheshootingofthefilmHumSaathSaathHain.HewasjailedinJodhpurtwiceina
    fiveyearsentenceandiscurrentlyoutonbail.
    Initsorder,theSupremeCourtsaidthatwhileKhancouldargueinthehighcourtthathewouldsuffer
    irreversibledamageifhisconvictionisnotstayed,theRajasthangovernmentcouldarguenoirreversible
    damagewhichcannotbeundonewouldbecausedifhisconvictionisnotstayed.
