NATURALIZATION
If foreigners get a citizenship after they do all the
requirements based on the laws, which applied in
the country.
Rules according to UU No.12 Year 2006:

Lived in Indonesia for at least 5 years


21 years old or more
If married, he/she should get the spouses consent
In a good condition in health and soul
Could speak Bahasa Indonesia fluently
Doesnt have other nationality

Special naturalization is given to a person who


has contribute a great service for the country.

CASE
Diego Michiels got naturalization for playing in
the Indonesian U-23 soccer team.
Has Indonesia blood (from father)
Chose Netherland citizenship because he was
born and raised there.
Officially Indonesian citizen in 2011

When you are a foreigner and chose to become
an Indonesian citizen it is called Naturalization.
There are advantages and disadvantages of being
an Indonesian citizen.
There are different advantages and
disadvantages from different perspective.
