1. What does the fire wall do?

A firewall blocks and protects particular connections from unauthorised viruses .
2. What does a proxy do?
A proxy server is a gateway that all web connections have to go through. It filters
off offensive websites therefore it will pass to the firewall.
3. How can both be used to protect?
Because the firewall can stop unauthorised traffic from coming through that you
havent requested but it allows traffic that you have requested. The proxy server
allows a filter and it allows you to block certain websites.

hackers from accessing you data.
