Ser v.

Estar: NOTES
The two easiest ways to remember when to use Ser
versus when to use Estar are the following:
1. Ser describes the permanency of an object. Estar
describes the immediate attributes of a person or object.
Therefore ask yourself the question: Will this attribute or
characteristic change soon or often? If the answer is No
then your verb is Ser; if the answer is Yes then your verb
is Estar.
2. Instead of remembering all of the circumstances in which
you use Ser and when you use Estar, learn when to use
Estar and use Ser the rest of the time.
