FAQs - APPLICATION PROCESS & ONLINE TESTING

How many applications am I allowed to submit in total?

You are allowed up to submit up to three separate applications each recruitment year.
Do I have to complete the tests each time I submit an application?
No, should you apply to another Programme, your test scores will automatically be copied over
to the new application. If you fail to pass one or both of the tests, you will be required to re-take
both tests.
How much time do I have to complete the online tests?
If you fail to complete the online test(s) within two weeks your application will be withdrawn from
the Graduate Programme.
What is the best internet browser to use to complete the tests?
We recommend candidates complete the online test using either Internet Explorer or Firefox
where possible, as these two browsers support the test the best. If using a MAC, ensure that
you use Safari 1.0 or above.
I have a disability and am normally given extra time to complete online testing. Will
Nomura allow special consideration for candidates like me?
Yes, Nomura will take into account all candidates with a disability. Please contact the Graduate
Recruitment team (eurrecruitingevents-eu@nomura.com / 0207 102 9303) prior to starting the
test to discuss what special consideration/extra time allowances you are usually granted and we
will make a decision based on this information. If we agree to give you extra time, our online test
provider will email you a new test for you to complete.
I experienced a technical issue before I had a chance to complete the online test. Can I
take the test again?
We can reset the test for you provided we recognise your issue (and feel it is legitimate). Please
email the Graduate Recruitment team (eurrecruitingevents-eu@nomura.com) and we will
proceed with the necessary action. In some cases your score may have been captured already
in which case you may not need to re-take the test.

I completed the test and finished it. However, when I log back in to my application it
says that my online test is still in progress. Why is this?
This often occurs when the browser has been closed before the test is completely finished.
Please ask the Graduate Recruitment team to check for your scores. If they have not been
captured you may need to take the test again, being especially careful not to close the browser
at any point during the test (including between the practice and actual test).
