PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Mazda Dexelia DPF 0W-30/ 5W-30 oil must not be used for SKYACTIV-D 2.2, since it does not
meet the requirements of this new engine generation and may lead to severe engine damages.
When changing or refilling engine oil on SKYACTIV-D 2.2, always make sure to use one of the
following oils:
Recommended Engine Oil
Alternative Engine Oil
Mazda Original Oil Supra Mazda Original Oil Ultra
ACEA C3
DPF 0W-30
DPF 5W-30
0W-30, 5W-30
If any engine oil other than listed above is used for SKYACTIV-D 2.2 engine, Mazda cannot
guarantee the performance or reliability. Consequently, any malfunction of SKYACTIV-D 2.2
caused by use of non-appropriate engine oil cannot be covered by warranty.
Please note that Mazda Dexelia DPF 0W-30/ 5W-30 oil has been discontinued. The newly
established Mazda Original Oil Supra DPF 0W-30/ Ultra DPF 5W-30 is fully downwards
compatible, i.e. it can also be used for R2 engine models as well as for RF engine models with
DPF.
