Media is the leading cause of violence in todays society

It is evident that our social environment has been changed by the

influence and saturation of the mass media. The influence of radio,
television, movies, video games, and computer networks in our daily
lives is increasing every day. This influence is, in my opinion, the number
one cause of todays violence because of its impact on our societys
behavior.
Scientists have proved that early exposure to violent TV shows is
reflected in the adulthood behavior. A study made by the American
Psychological Association (APA) showed that
that early exposure to media violence is a contributing factor to the development of aggression.
. These findings suggest that, while aggressive children may choose to watch more violent TV programming, it
is more plausible that early childhood exposure to TV violence stimulates increases in aggression later in
adulthood.
