Ethics, also known as moral philosophy, is a branch of philosophy that involves
systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong behavior.
[1] It comes from the Greek word ethos, which means "character".
The following principles, which I have excerpted from The Internet Encyclopedia of
Philosophy, are the ones most commonly appealed to in applied ethical discussions:

Principle of paternalism
Principle of benevolence
Social benefit
Principle of unlawfulness
Principle of harm:
Assist others in pursuing their best interests when they cannot do so themselves.
Principle of unlawfulness:
