Marks = 60 instructions: (i) Answer each section in separate answer book. ~ (i) Assume suitable data if necessary and state it clearly. {i) Figure in [] represents maximum marks for that question: SECTION -1 Q-1 Answer following in brief. [10 (a) For a material the Polsson’s ratio is 0.25 and the Shear Modulus is 80GPa. Find the Bulk Modulus and Elastic Modulus of the material. {02 (b) Define "Torsional section modulus” and find the same for a hollow circular section having internal diameter of 80mm and thickness of 10mm. Draw qualitative shear stress distribution diagrams for: (i) Triangular section and (ii) Hollow*ectangle. Differentiate between Ductile and Brittle failure with neat sketch, giving suitable example.
