Mzumbe University is a fully accredited Public University established under 2007
Charter. The University is seeking to recruit a qualified person to fill the following
vacant position:DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR- ADMISTRATION AND FINANCE
(i)
Qualifications:
The applicant should hold a PhD from accredited University and have attained a
status of Professor or Associate Professor and should have outstanding academic
and administrative experience at a Senior Management level in a higher
education institution.

Be the Principal assistant and chief advisor to the Vice-Chancellor on all

matters pertaining to the welfare of the staff and students of the
University.
Be the principal assistant and chief advisor to the Vice Chancellor on the
Administration of the funds and other assets of the University.
Be the principal assistant and chief advisor to the Vice Chancellor on all
matters relating to the discipline of staff and students of the University;
Be principal assistant and chief advisor to the Vice Chancellor on all
matters relating to the Universitys human resource needs and
development;
Be the principal assistant and chief advisor to the Vice Chancellor on
matters relating to the implementation of the University Corporate plan;
Be the principal assistant and the chief advisor to the Vice-chancellor on
all matters relating to the security of staff and property of the University.

(iii)

Tenure of Office:
Hold office for a term of Four years and may be reappointed consecutively for one
further term of four years on merit

AGE
Applicants should not be above 55 years

Salary

PUTS 10 plus 20%, a free fully furnished house, full time transport and other
benefits as provided for in the Treasury circulars released from time to time and
the Mzumbe University Council.
