challengesthatfaceourworldtoday.

3. ProvideAccesstoCleanDrinkingWater
Youwillchoosewhoyouwouldliketoworkwithandwhichofthechallengesthatyou
wouldliketotryandsolve.Youwillusetheengineeringdesignprocessalongtheway
tohelpyoubuildandtestaprototypethatsolvesoneofthesechallenges.

DesignConstraints
Time:Youwillbeexpectedtocompletethisdesignchallengefromstarttofinish
bytheendofthequarter.
Materials:Fortheprototypeyoumayuseanymaterialthatwehaveonhand
hereintheMakerSpaceoranymaterialsthatyoumightbeabletocomeupwith
onyourown.IfthereareanyspecialmaterialsthatyouneedletmeknowandI
willtrytohelpyouobtainthem.
Afteryouhavecompletedyourprototypetestingyouwilldevelopapresentationthat
youwillpotentiallydelivertoaventurecapitalistthatmightbeinterestedinprototype.

educationisnotveryeffective.Inorderforoptimallearningtooccurlearning
needstobeindividualized.Examplesolutions:anapporawebsitethatallowsfor
personalizedlearningonaparticularsubjectoranysubjectthatthestudent
chooses.
2. DevelopCarbonSequestrationMethodsincreasinglevelsofcarbondioxidein
theatmosphereareacceleratingglobalclimatechange.Ifwecandevelopa
methodtocaptureandstorecarbondioxidethatisproducedbyburningoffossil

fuelswemightbeabletoslowdownclimatechange.
3. ProvideAccesstoCleanDrinkingWater1in6peopleintheWorldtodaydonot
haveaccesstocleandrinkingwater
