Personal Response

I have read out two articles on bullying. I personally have enjoyed reading
these articles as they contain many facts on bullying based on some deep
researches. The names of the articles are Bullying in School and Preventing
Bullying which were written by Ron Banks and Linda Lumsden respectively. These
articles tell us about bullying and ways to prevent it. I agree with the both authors
opinion about bullying based on their researches.
. The author Ron Banks has described the definition of term bullying very
clearly in the second paragraph of the article. He states that bullying refers to
indecent behaviour such as hitting, teasing and stealing conducted by one or more
students on another student. In my own view, I define bullying as a person who is
habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people. A person only
will bully the people who are smaller or weaker than them because they feel easy to
conquer them.
Other than that, I agree with Ron Banks statement which is proposed that the
anxious, insecure, cautious, and suffer from low self-esteem, rarely defending
themselves when confronted by the bullies. In my point of view, I am strongly support
this statement because if the victims could be brave and have high self-confidence,
then they will not worry to face the bullies and they would not be get bullied by
others.
In addition, I was feeling really disappointed when I am reading the part where
Ron Blanks explains on impacts of bullying. I felt so pity on the victims because they
feel so worried to go to the school as they scared to get being bullied by others. In
my opinion, I can say that the studies of the victims could be spoiled if this case
occurs continuously. So, I am suggesting that appropriate action should be taken to
demolish this problem.
Moreover, when I am reading another article I felt as interesting as the author
constructs several steps to abolish this problem. I am supporting Linda Lumsdens
statement which proposes that mapping schools hot places where the bullying
occurs should be identified and supervision should be concentrated on that area. In

my opinion, the bullies will feel scare to bully others in school compound if this step
is done. By doing so, bullying can be prevented in school.
As a conclusion, I can say that bullying is a very serious problem and
everyone must play their role to end the tragedy.
