Certificate.
Candidates should attempt Questions no. 1 and 5 which are
compulsory, and any three of the remaining questions
selecting at least one question from each Section.
The number of marks carried by each part of a question is
indicated against each.

(a) 'On a more sophisticated plane public choice is

concerned with "Pareto optimality", or at least
with "Pareto improvements".' Comment.
(b) `In the canonization of this abstract idea of
