PREPLANNING OF ALL ACTIVITES

PLANNING

: It is the process of thinking about and organizing the activities


required to achieve a desired goal

PRE PLANNING: It is an attempt to consolidate a set of preparatory activities


into a special stage that goes prior to the project planning phase
pre-planning actions:
the following activites will set the stage for the planning process
-Determine who (individual or team) will convene the strategic planning process
-Establish a scope of work what will be the result of the strategic planning
process
-Determine who (internal or external)will conduct the strategic planning process
-Identifiy a methodology ,activities ,and schedule for the planning process
Formal preplanning involves five steps or phases, which are
1. Planning the planning process
2. Gathering information
3. Preparing the preplan
4. Disseminating the pertinent information in the to all affected parties
5. Evaluating the results of the planning efforts and its consequences
Preplanning contains mainly two activities:
1. Some off-site activities
2. Some on-site activities
Preplanning On-site construction activity:
