TIMS Goals, System Review Committee, and Project Scope Statement

TIMS Goals
Regarding Our Students
The same SCR goals for their clients can still be used for TIMS students. The part about
reasonable fees and all customers will get personal attention, and professional service.

Regarding Our Students

TIMS has assembled a top-notched training team ready to provide our students with the
high-notch skills necessary to work in the IT industry.

Systems Review Committee

No need for a Systems Review Committee. Instead of a committee this project just needs one
person appointed to evaluate the system requirements.

Project Scope Statement

First step is appointing someone to begin a preliminary investigation. Once you appoint
someone they need to send out an email explain their role and their plan. They should meet
with key managers, users, and IT staff to describe the project, and explain your responsibilities,
answers questions, and invite comments. This starts an important dialogue with users that will
continue throughout the entire development process.
These are the steps need to be taken by the preliminary investigator.
Understand the problem or opportunity
Define the projects scope and constraints
Perform fact-finding
Analyze organizational charts
Conduct interviews
Review documentation
Observe operations
Conduct a user survey
Analyze project usability, cost, benefit, and schedule data
Evaluate feasibility
Operational
Technical
Economic
Schedule
Present results and recommendations to management

The preliminary investigator will need to get with systems and network/web group to come up
with the plan with all the applications & application needs. Then they will have to get the project
management group to come up with a plan for the project. Once all that is done it will be time
to get with the administrative support group to come up with a finical plan for the project. The
preliminary investigator will then need but all its findings together and report it all to the
executive and the executive committee support.
