Accessing

PASOLINK NEO with


web based LCT

1. User should prepare the followings:


-computer (PC), with the followings:
Hardware:
-HD: 100 MB or higher empty capacity
- 1,6 GHz CPU, RAM: 256 MB (minimum)
- Display: LCD 1,024 768
- CD-ROM drive
- Serial port
- USB port
Software:
- OS: Windows 2000/Xp
- IE6.0 SP2
- Java Runtime Environment V1.5.0_05 or higher
-USB cable with USB-B connector (USB A-B cable)
-the USB driver for PASOLINK NEO

2. Installation of the USB driver


2.1. Switch on the PASOLINK NEO equipment and the PC.
2.2. Connect the USB cable with its USB-B connector to the LCT port of the equipment. Connect the
other end of the cable to one USB port of the PC.
2.3. The found new hardware wizard appears. Select Install from a list or specific location [Advanced]
and click on Next button

2.4. Insert the CD-ROM of the USB driver into the PC and select Search for the best driver in these locations and
check Search removal media [floppy, CD-ROM...], then, click on Next button. If you have the driver on a USB
stick or in a folder on your PC you should choose Include this location in the search and specify the location where
the driver is.

2.5. During the installation the following window will appear.

2.6. Click on the Continue Anyway button in the Hardware Installation alert pop-up
2.7. USB driver installation will be started, the necessary files for the new hardware will be
installed

2.8. At the end of the installation the last window of the Found New Hardware Wizard appears.

2.9. Click on the Finish button. This is the end of the USB driver installation.

3. Dial-up setting (Windows XP)


3.1. Click on Start Setting Control Panel and on Network
Connections icon to start the Dialup setting.

3.2. The Network Connections window appears. Click on Create a new connection in the
Network Tasks category.

3.3. The Welcome to the New Connection Wizard window appears. Click on Next button to
continue.

3.4. Select Connect to the network at my workplace and click on Next button to continue.

3.5. Select Dial-up connection and click on Next button to continue.

3.6. On the New Connection Wizard window, enter LCT in theCompany Name entry field and click
on Next button to continue.

3.7. Enter 1234 in the Phone number field and click on Next button to continue.

3.8. Verify that the connection LCT has displayed as the connection registered. You can also create a shortcut
on your desktop if you need. Click on Finish button.

3.9. On Connect LCT dialog, click Properties

3.10. Verify that Modem-USB Modem


Driver [COM(#)] is selected on the General
tab Connect using: check box, and Show
icon in notification area when connected in
the LCT Properties dialog. Then, click on
Configure button.

3.11. On Connect LCT dialog, click Properties

3.12. Retain the default setting on the


Options tab, click the Security tab.

3.13. Retain the default setting on the Security tab,


click the Networking tab.

3.14. On the Networking tab, verify that PPP... is


displayed in the Type of dial-up server I am
calling setting field, uncheck File and Printer...
and Client for Microsoft...., Client for
Microsoft Networks. Then click on Internet
Protocol (TCPIP) and then on the Properties
button.

3.15. Verify that both Obtain an IP address


automatically and Obtain DNS server address
automatically are selected.

Click on Advanced button.

3.16. In the Advanced TCP/IP Settings


dialog, mark check box of Use default
gateway on remote network and for the
PPP link is unchecked, then Click OK.

3.17. Retain the default setting on the Advanced tab and click OK.

4. Accessing the PASOLINK NEO


4.1. Switch on the PASOLINK NEO equipment and the PC.
4.2. Connect the USB cable with its USB-B connector to the LCT port of the equipment. Connect the
other end of the cable to one USB port of the PC.
4.3. Click on Start menu button, select Connect to-> LCT,then, Connect LCT dial-up dialog
appears.
4.4. Click on Dial button.

4.5. Open the Internet explorer and enter the address http://172.17.254.253 and then press Enter.
4.6. The LCT login window appears.
You can select the username User which does not require a password (only for monitoring)
Or you can choose username Admin and password 12345678 (to access the LCT and for monitoring)
After you selected the proper username and password click on the Login button.
