The Royal Grammar
School opened in 1509
and has good facilities
for sport and learning.

The Guildhall clock is made
out of gold so is very
expensive, it hangs in the
high street in Guildford.

Guildford Castle

Guildford Castle was made after the

Battle of Hastings by William the
Conqueror. It is on top of the big hill
in the middle of Guildford overlooking
the town. Sadly it is now destroyed so
it is being preserved.

George Abbot

George Abbot was born on the 19

October 1562 then 396 years later
George Abbot School was built.

Holy Trinity
