The history of state and federal prisons is very interesting. Many years ago
prisons did not exist, prisoners use to be held in jails until they have a trial
date, release, or execution. Has the time goes by, state and federal prisons
make plan and develop state prisons, state prison were the first to be madeup. State prisons are run by the government, over the past few years crimes
as increased, and brutal crimes have increased the most also massively. The
significant issue that state prison is facing right now is overcrowding this is a
major problem because they have nowhere to put the thief and the killers.
The next issue is that they need to separate facilities because some of the
inmates or more violent from some others inmate, so this also take up a lot
of space in state prison.

The state prison system back in the days is different from the one we are
living in now, today state system develop on the nineteenth century prison
that was by itself based on the lawful reforms from the 18 century. Many of

the states start off with only one state prison and now at lease each state
have 20 state prison, from the source I get my explanation I read that Texas
have over 100 State prison what a big different each day people get lock up
in local State prison and end up spending months in their also most of the
state prison allowed the prisoner that are addicted to drugs and alcohol offer
them a halfway houses so they can feel better going through hard times. The
federal jails surrounding America are financed a lot better and only have
quite a few security and minimum low security. Nevertheless these type of
prisons usually has razor fences on the walls or electric wires.
