“What led you to

of studies?”
MA in American Studies
Marie Curie University, Poland
My MA in American Studies allowed me for
a multi angle study of correlated subjects
(American history & literature, all in a sociological
context).
The interdisciplinary aspect of the degree prepares
one not only to understand the US consumers, but
also practice skills required to ‘connect dots’ in any
account planning projects.

“Tell me about a
time when you
had to analyze or
interpret
numerical
information?”
“The numbers are boring until you realize how
much they tell a story”
Jan 20, 2010 New York Times
In my current position I deal with statistical information all the time.

I identify a type of desired data,

then collect & analyze information in regards to e.g.
•recruiting statistics of different groups of students,
•numbers on jobs posted from/for specific regions or
•breakdown of details of counselors' appointments.

Just recently I completed a yearly examination

of the alumni counseling sessions.
I categorized emerging & continuing trends
to guide the services into the next year e.g.
in regards to geographical location of the population served,
its profile and its multileveled needs.
The findings were presented in a form
of an attractive and informative PowerPoint to the administration.

“What
distinguishes you
from the other
candidates?”
I'll answer with a phrase I heard
during a Maddock Douglas
presentation at the 9th Shopper
Insights in Action Conference I
attended last year in Chicago.

“You can’t read the label

when you’re sitting inside the
jar”

I am able to see issues clearer

and approach them with a
common sense and
adventurous spirit that only an
outsider to the industry would
dare to employ.
