Film
Assignment
Students should create a film, in any genre, explaining why and/or how they have chosen
their topic sentence for the units paragraph. The film should specifically mention two (2)
details:

The topic
The controlling idea
Film length should be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes.

Films should indicate that the student has a clear understanding of the differentiation
between the two parts of a topic sentence.
Viewers should be able to easily surmise, after watching the film, exactly what the writer
means to portray in the paragraph.
