Dear Mr. Houtz,
My name is Stephen Giacobe. I am a Life Scout with Troop 66 in Pleasant Gap
and an active member of the Bellefonte Area High School Drama Club. Im conducting
an Eagle Scout Project to benefit the Bellefonte Area High School Drama Club.
My project is to refurbish an old trophy case, install a pedestal under it and mount
it to the wall near the theater box office. Mr. Skerpon suggested this project because the
current case is on wheels and needs attention before mounting it in the theatre area.
In addition, I personally cannot accept donations for my project and neither can
my Troop according to the Boy Scouts of Americas Eagle Project guidelines. I talked
with Mr. Skerpon about having the BAHSs Drama Club being the bank. He said because
of the way school clubs work, it would be better to go through the Fine Arts Boosters.
I am seeking monetary donations to complete this project. My estimated cost of
my project is $500.00. I am also asking if I may use the BAHS Fine Arts Boosters as a
bank for my project. This will be a place for organizations to make checks out to. Any
help you would be able to give me would be much appreciated.
