Test Plan

Scope: The ability to create a left aligned list in Microsoft word is being tested.
Purpose: To evaluate if the instructions are clear and meaningful enough for a user
to understand and complete. Will users be able to understand the format of the
instructions? Once the title has been bolded will the user make sure that the rest of
the list is un-bolded? Will the user be able to create a list? Do the images help the
user to understand the instructions?
Equipment: A computer with Microsoft word downloaded and a set of the
instructions.
Participants: Three classmates who are in the ENGL 2116 college course at UNC
Charlotte.
Scenarios: Left aligning text, bolding text, creating a numbered list.
Metrics: Questions will include ease, satisfactions, and clarity questions about each
step as well as overall satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment once the test is
completed.
Roles: Team members will observe and take notes on the classmates who are using
the instructions.

o More space between pictures and text as they blended together.

o Yes

o Instructions were clear but too long and should be a bit more simplified
Recommendations?
o Why is paint on one of the required materials? Also make sure all of the
instructions are ordered correctly.

-Test Participant Three: Julia

Were instructions clear?

o Mostly
Explain
o Yes, however they were a bit wordy and not very simplified
Recommendations?
o Make the instructions into more of a list form.
