Ashley Esituch is currently a teacher-candidate at Althouse College, Western University. and did an exemplary job in assisting with the grading of the East Elgin Secondary School practice Ontario Secondary Schoo! Literacy Test. The teacher-candidate, to prepare for their volunteer involvement, participated in a staff lead seminar outlining the current Ministry of Education expectations of the OSSLT. Following that, the teacher-candidate demonstrated the ability to use exemplars and rubrics to mark the short and long written sections of the test. Once the grading portion of the test was completed, the teacher-candidate assisted with the recording of grades, which will be used by the staff of East Elgin Secondary School to prepare the students for the 2015 OSSLT. If Ashley's participation today is any indication of future performance in the teaching profession, any potential employer will ind themselves with an extremely positive ‘addition to their staff.
