In celebration of Black History Month select Delaware citizens of Liberian
African descent will honor Rev. Dr. Christopher Alan Bullock with a
traditional gowning ceremony. Dr. Bullock is the Senior Pastor of Canaan
Baptist Church and the first African-American President of New Castle
County Council.
Traditionally, when a foreign dignitary visits Liberia (and other parts of
Africa as well), the government presents that official with a ceremonial
gown signifying that she or he is most welcomed and given honorary
citizenship.
Please come out and witness this event on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at
both the 8am and 11am services at Canaan Baptist Church.
