1. Given: ~a = h1, 2, 5i, ~b = h6, 4, 0i

(a) Find the direction angles of ~a.

(b) Express ~b as a sum of two vectors, where one is parallel to ~a and the other is perpendicular to ~a.
2. Find an equation of the plane tangent to the sphere x2 + y 2 + z 2 4x + 6y + 2z 35 = 0 at
the point P (4, 3, 4).

3. Find symmetric equations of the line that passes through the intersection of the lines
x = 1 + 2t
2 : y = 3 t
z = 3t + 6

x = 9 4s
and 2 : y = 4 + 3s
z = 3s

and is perpendicular to both 1 and 2 .
