Please see the illustration below for location of casting. These linear solenoids are adjusted during testing. Re-adjusting the solenoids after installation is not typically required. Solenoid Installation: @ SLU: Remove the retaining bolt, SLU retaining bracket and internal harness hold down. Remove the SLU solenoid, Install VBX SLU solenoid with the electrical connector in the up position as shown in the illustration below. Reinstall original bracket, harness hold down and torque bolt to 62 inch Ib @ SLT: Remove the SLT and SLS retaining bolt and bracket. Remove the SLT solenoid. Install VBX SLT solenoid with the electrical connector in the down position as shown in the illustration below. © SLS: Remove the SLS solenoid, Install VBX SLS solenoid with the electrical connector in the down position as shown in the illustration below. @ Align the SLT and SLS solenoids with the original bracket, making sure that the narrow end of the bracket faces up. Reinstall original bolt and torque to 62 inch Ib. Helpful hint: This valve body requires the late SLT-SLS retainer, see illustration below for I.D.
