As per our January 24, 2013 fire agreement, all fire bills were to be paid within 30 days after the billing
date. The Band is now well over three months behind on payment for their fire bills. The Loon Lake Fire
Department will not be responding to any fires on the First Nations until this account Is paid In full,

RE: Fire Agreement
As per your letter October 2, 2012 that the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nations would like to discontinue
the retainer fire agreement as of December, 2012. The Fire Department will not be responding to any
fires until an agreement is reached. The Fire Board has met and the new agreement is as follows: Any
situations that arise, requiring the Fire Department services will be a fee for service. The fees are as
follows: Fire Truck - $400.00 per hour
Water Truck - $300.00 per hour
Fire Chief or Officer in Charge - $30.00 per hour
Fire Fighters - $25.00 per hour/ per man
All fires have minimum three hour call out
All fire bills are payable 30 days after billing date. If payment is not received in
this time period the Fire Agreement will be considered void and all Fire Services
will be revoked.

Please be advised that the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation would like to discontinue from
retainer agreement at the end of Fiscal year. Any further situations that may arise and require
your services can be billed directly as fee for service. We would also like to acknowledge the
assistance from the Loon Lake Fire Department in regards to the Fire situations that have
happened throughout the years on the First Nation.
