To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to recommend Danielle Novack for your consideration. Danielle was a
student in the Educational Interpreting course that I taught in the fall semester of 2014 at
St Catherine University. In that course the students learned about theories related to
educational interpreting; working as a part of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team;
educational discourse; social, cognitive and linguistic development of children; and the
application of these factors to the interpreting process in educational settings.
Danielle was always eager to learn more about these topics and actively pursued her
learning through the discussions and papers within the course. She was able to apply
what we were learning to her interpreting work and showed good critical thinking when
reflecting on her work. Danielle showed good skills as a beginning interpreter and strong
motivation to continue improving her work.
Danielle showed a positive attitude, attention to detail, profession behavior, cooperative
spirit, and dedication while in this course. These attributes would make her a very good
employee and colleague.
