Appreciation Poem (Tamar 2012)

By Jacob Rosenblum
A love thats cast is hard to meet,
to match with crimson desire,
Above the mast is guarded, sweet,
And we catch, now glimpse and conspire
If true that love be loverly
Then together lets while away
If too, a moth can be motherly
Then a-feather lets smile and play.
Weve spent this time, these days and weeks
Weve fallen deeper into our selves
Were sent these rhymes, these phrases-in-cheek
and pollen is cheaper than elves
With use of the wind, I alight this prayer
Instead of the reindeers sleigh
The muses have spinned, and I might convey her
To thread hip-to-hip a belay.
Together in field, the forest and cave,
together in train and the car
Thru bravery, smarts and commitment we rave
Hooray! and Hip-Hip-Hamar!
